HISTORIA FUPI YAKE DADA HUYU MAARUFU SANA NCHINI KENYA::

Emmy Kosgei BIRTH Born in 1980 in a village called Kelelwa which is in Mogotio of Koibatek District in Rift Valley. SCHOOLS She went to Eldama Ravine boarding school for her primary school education then to Solian Girls high school. She later joined Kenya Utalii in Nairobi then went to Air Travel and related Studies centre. RISE TO MUSIC CAREER Having been brought up in a Christian family whereby her parents are pastors, she started singing at a tender age at her local church. She then started recording collabos in high school and at church with Maximum gospel singers. Later on she decided to do her own recordings where she did her first album “Katau Banda” in 2005 which was followed by “Kaswech” and then “Taunet” INSPIRATIONS Gets inspired by her parents life, Esther Wahome, Rebecca Malope’s music, Keke and Makeba. MENTORS Her parents, Esther Wahome and her pastors. FAVORITE BOOKS Bible and inspirational books. HOBBIES Safari drives, playing hockey, travelling, drawing, designing and swimming. MEMMORABLE MOMENTS: SAD: When I lost my grandparent, then her aunt when she was out of the country and wasn’t able to see them. HAPPY: -First performance in the states; the crowds went wild. -VIP reception in a tour to South Africa. -When I won the Groove award for Best Traditional song in 2006.
